Antique Surveyor's Tripod Wooden Keuffel & Esser 78 0010- K&E Brass Fittings

up for you consideration is vintage surveyors tri-pod. wood is in excellent condition. it open and closes easily.
fully open is about 58" high . has brass fittings .strap that holds legs together is torn in areas .
top is marked 3 1/8'x 8. handle has a few rust spots. not sure if top of round handle should turn or un-screw?
