Alper Motorsports LS Head Studs for 2005 and up
With ARP Lube
Part Number ALS2005
Chevy LS head studs. These head studs are created from aircraft quality 8740 high tensile strength chrome moly steel. This is a 205,000 PSI kit that comes complete with 12 point hex nuts and washers.
Fits 2004 - Present Day LS Motors
This kit Comes with 2 Different Length Studs,
Instructions:
This Kits Should Only be Installed by a Experienced Professional Engine Builder
Remove all components and wash with a clean solvent to remove any shipping residue
Coarse treads that go into the block should have a light oil to keep from rusting before install, (do not use any other Lubricant on the coarse studs or they could twist and brake) Never use ARP lube on the Coarse Side,
ONLY hand tighten the studs into the block or 5lbs of Torque, Always use a Calibrated Torque Wrench,
Apply ARP torque Lube on All of the Fine Threads, Make sure the Threads are coated 100% with Lube, only the fine Thread,
Apply ARP torque lube above and below the washers
Apply ARP torque lube on the bottom side of the 12 point nuts, and inside the 12 point nuts,
Head Stud Torque
11mm 60-65ft-lbs
8mm 23 ft-lbs

A Iron block is not a LS3 or a LS2 it is a Vortec Know your length stud before ordering,
Alper Motorsports has 2 different styles, the "2" bolt length (late) and the "3" bolt length (early). Normal applications were '97-'03 for the 3 bolt and '04+ for the 2 bolt but they can overlap so we suggest you check to make sure which you'll need before ordering. For the singel length set please see our other auctions
